Tasting Notes:
Released under the Ichiban Shibori line for the summer of 2017 is Kirin’s Natsu Saeru Hop. This all malt beer features Hersbrucker hops and was crafted with Kirin’s Ichiban Shibori method.

Natsu Saeru Hop pours a delicious golden color in the glass with a fresh yeasty aroma. In the first mouthful, the froth from the head has a wonderful sweet quality, actually reminding me of ice cream while the beer underneath is very sharp with citrus notes. It has a finish that is quite bitter, with a very greenish grass quality.

This limited production from Kirin is quite possibly the best summer beer on the market right now. This beer has a wonderful blend of sweetness and bitterness that comes together in harmony. On these hot and humid Japanese summer nights, Natsu Saeru Hop is where it’s at, a must drink.
