Tasting Notes:
With its pink checkered design, Kirin leaves no doubt they want their Nodogoshi Haru no Kassai brew on your blue tarp during hanami season. This new genre is brewed with American Bravo hops for a crisp taste and fruity notes.

Haru no Kassai pours a delightful golden color in the glass. The aroma from the head is a somewhat musty-yeasty mix with some bread and floral notes. The first mouthful is very sharp and to the point with a clean crisp flavor. There’s not much malt going on, but it has the bitter tang of lemon pith from the hops mid to back.

At the easy on the wallet new genre price point, this brew has got its act together. I like the light crispness to it and the citrusy tang adds to the spring appeal. Nodogoshi Haru no Kassai deserves a spot in the picnic basket this hanami season.
