Kirin Ichiban Shibori: Ishikawa-zukuri

Japanese Name: キリン 一番搾り石川づくり 横浜工場限定醸造
Brewer: Kirin
Release: Oct. 2016
Type: Japanese Beer (ビール)
Alcohol: 5%

Tasting Notes:
Ishikawa-zukuri pours out a bright straw color in the glass and has a yeasty, hoppy aroma. The first mouthful is quite malty up front with a nice bite and some tang to it. Hints of pine and citrus rind come through and accompany a bitter finish.

This version of Ichiban Shibori is quite possibly one of my favorites to date. It sticks to the Japanese lager style, yet offers a unique flavor packed punch. Ishikawa-zukuri is very well brewed and truly a joy to drink.
