Kirin Ichiban Shibori: Fukushima-Zukuri

Japanese Name: キリン 一番搾り福島づくり 仙台工場限定醸造
Brewer: Kirin
Release: Aug. 2016
Type: Japanese Beer (ビール)
Alcohol: 4.5%

Tasting Notes:
Brewed at Kirin’s Sendai brewery especially for the people of Fukushima is Kirin Ichiban Shibori Fukushima-zukuri. This all malt beer was made to be enjoyed together with friends.

The first gulp has a smooth, round flavor. Unusually it is very light, however possessing a nice malty depth. On the backend, the malt remains as the beer goes down the throat and has a decent bitter kick to finish.

Compared to the standard Ichiban, Fukushima-zukuri is a little bit toned down, a little less sharp, but has more sweetness and roundness. Since I do prefer a heavier flavor, Fukushima-zukuri was not to my liking.
