Tasting Notes:
Mugi to Hop Aka makes its fourth release this year. This Munich style new genre was brewed in part with German malt and hops from Bayern this year. With its “Fest Style” labeling, this brew is meant to be enjoyed with friends.

Aka Fest Style pours a fiery red in the glass, with hints of roasted malt on the nose. The first gulp is crisp and clean and has a slightly roasted flavor to it. Its flavors stay on the back of the tongue and build a nice bitterness from the hops throughout the course of the glass.

This year’s Aka Fest Style from Sapporo keeps with the traditional fall brew. It’s dark and flavorful, but is very easy drinking and is at a price point doesn’t stop me from reaching for another can. Well done, Sapporo.
