Tasting Notes:
Putting together the know-how of all of Sapporo’s Bier Meisters, they have created Meister for the Yebisu label. This all malt beer caters to the desires of those who want a little more in their beers, something more refined. Meister is made with a generous amount of Hallertau Tradition aroma and Royal Leaf hops from Bayern, Germany.

Meister pours into the glass with a fiery orange color, without anything particularly notable on the nose. On the first gulp, its smoothness is immediately noticeable, while Meister’s flavor sports refinement. It’s definitely well-rounded and medium bodied, with malt and hops that give off a wonderful flavor yet stay on the lighter end. The finish is a slightly spicy, fruity orange rind, with an accompanying bitterness.

Yebisu Meister is all in the details, starting with the “wet look” package. It shows off the brilliant orange color and has textured condensation that mimics what you’ll experience in the glass on a warm summer evening. Meister is indeed a masterpiece of a beer. There’s nothing that jumps out and grabs your tastebuds, but its subtle flavors speak of a kind of classic beer saying, “Hey! This is what beer is supposed to taste like!” Smooth, well-rounded, and a nice bitterness is all it takes to make a wonderful summer evening.
