New to Kirin’s Nodogoshi line is Yoru Nodogoshi, and is the first autumn limited brew in the Nodogoshi family. Yoru Nodogoshi is made from all barley, yet is a low-malt brew in the third tier category. It was brewed to make the bitterness stand out for those fall nights you just can’t stop partying.
Coming off the head is a nice clean malt-like aroma. A little spiciness is present as the brew crosses over the palate. There isn’t much in the way of any unique flavors, but this brew has a nice roundness to it. It finishes clean with a gentle bitterness that clenches the throat.
For a new genre offering, Yoru Nodogoshi is decent. There isn’t anything that really great that stands out, and at the same time there isn’t anything negative either. It is just a clean, easy drinking brew that’s easy on the pocketbook.
