In addition to its fall beer release, Suntory has continued its tradition of releasing a limited new genre brew, with Enjuku no Aki. They have released this type of amber for fall under different names for quite a while now, so I would expect this one to be similar to the previous brews.
When pouring Enjuku no Aki, rich roasted “malt” appears on the nose, and as expected it has a dark color in the glass. There is a smooth mouthfeel on the first gulp, while its full-bodied roasted flavors come through. It has a very acidic finish, that goes beyond the usual bitterness.
Enjuku no Aki continues to provide an flavorful new genre brew that doesn’t break the bank. For an amber, it’s somewhat on the lighter side, granted it is a new genre brew. As with the previous releases, this new genre brew provides a solid experience for a decent price.
