Tasting Notes:
Developed jointly by Sapporo and the 7&i Group, and exclusively sold through the 7&i chain is Sapporo Munchner Dunkel. It is a limited production, all malt beer brewed with 100% German aroma hops and a large portion of German malt. This should be the first beer in a series of four European Select beers for the 7&i Group this year.

Munchner Dunkel pours our a dark amber in the glass, easily forming a wonderfully aromatic head. Essence of dark malt with slightly acidic notes present themselves immediately. The first gulp is a wonderful breath of fresh air. It has a very deep but crisp flavor that shows off its maltiness across the palate, and sports just the right amount of bitterness on the finish.

With is rich malty flavor and bitterness, I think any Japanese beer drinker would be happy with Munchner Dunkel. Sapporo did a great job of brewing a flavor profile that can be enjoyed by a wide audience.
