Sapporo Fuyu Monogatari: 25th anniversary of The Winter’s Tale

Fuyu Monogatari, “The Winter’s Tale,” for its 25th year, brewer Sapporo chose to bring back its original recipe from 1988. 25 years ago, being neither of legal drinking age or present in Japan, I cannot comment on the historical taste of this year’s brew. However, it is one of the winter brews I look forward to every winter here in Japan. Staying true to Sapporo’s brewing style it’s a fuller bodied Japanese-style lager, well rounded with nice bitterness and flavorful malt. Sapporo Fuyu Monogatari is definitely one Japanese beer you should check out this holiday season.
