Kirin Fuyu Pour

Tasting notes:
Meaning winter, Fuyu Kirin is the brewery’s limited edition winter brew, only it’s not “officially” beer. This happousei brew is labeled as “mild taste,” and that it is. There really isn’t much to the flavor, I’m almost reminded of a Budweiser or possibly even a Bud Light. However, that’s actually the appeal of this dai-san beer. Many happousei beverages on the marketplace, are over sweet or have a bad aftertaste, but Fuyu Kirin is clean tasting and smooth.

Those that like more complex beers will find disappointment, but if you’re a Budweiser drinker or want something with less bitterness, you’ll find some satisfaction here, and for ¥108 a can you’ll come out a winner.
