Suntory Akiraku

Japanese Name: 秋楽 (Aki-Raku)
Brewer: Suntory
Release: Summer 2010 (Aug)
Type: Happosei (発泡性)
Alcohol: 6%
Purchase Price: ¥105??

Tasting Notes:
The use of roasted malt creates a deep amber color with a rounded hoppiness reminiscent of Seattle, Washington’s Red Hook ESB. Those looking for an escape from the everyday Japanese lager, should be pleased with the flavor of this dai-san biru. Fortunately, unlike many of the newer beers at 6% alcohol, the roasted malt flavor is more prevalent than the alcohol.
